The Inventory tab stores item information to help with Automatic Ordering, TUN Ordering & Stocktake and more. Use the Inventory tab to help you set up and maintain Automatic ordering.
This item
Base units
Units are generally have 1 count. There is 1 count in 1 unit.
TUN code
TUN code is the barcode on the outer carton of items. TUN codes are supplied by the warehouse via the weekly Host update.
Return for credit
Click in this box to place a check mark. Use Return for credit to set yourself a reminder of items that needs to be returned to the warehouse for credit.
Credit %
Type a percentage amount in the % box. Click the Change button to save your changes.
N/AWS
Average weekly sales for product when at normal price.
P/AWS
Average weekly sales for product when on promo.
Parent
Parents normally refer to cartons with units as "child". A parent-child relationship is also normally referred to Tobacco lines.
Treat as Direct Line
The item will not be sent in orders to the warehouse.
Do not order
Click in this box to place a check mark. Use Do not order in the Parent section if this item can only be ordered from the warehouse by Units.
Only Order on Special
Flag the item to only order when on special.
Order Pre-Packed
Flag this if you would like pre-packaged items and the item can be delivered loose or pre-packaged.
Whouse min
The minimum number of units you must order from the warehouse.
Min reorder
The minimum number of units your store should automatically order from the warehouse.
Max reorder
The maximum number of units your store should automatically order from the warehouse.
Last ordered
The date this item was last automatically ordered. This box cannot be changed, it is automatically updated when Automatic Ordering is in use.
Last qty
The number of items that were ordered in the previous order. This box cannot be changed, it is automatically updated when Automatic Ordering is in use.
Order no.
The order number where this item was last automatically ordered. This box cannot be changed, it is automatically updated when Automatic Ordering is in use.
Show order button
Show order will display the full order where the item was last ordered without exiting Item properties or going into the Orders module.
Child
Child normally refer to units whilst it's carton pack as "parent". A parent-child relationship is also normally referred to Tobacco lines.
Allow inventory
Click in this box to place a check mark. Placing a check mark will allow this item to be updated during stocktake. Only items with a starting stock count will be updated correctly. Items without a starting stock count will report a negative quantity on hand after an end of day is run and items sold for the day is processed in the system.
Allow auto order
Click in this box to place a check mark. Placing a check mark will allow this item to be included when Automatic Ordering is in use. Only items with a check mark in this box will be included in an automatic order.
Only items with a starting stock count will be ordered correctly. Items without a starting stock count may not order the correct suggested order quantity.
Qty on hand
The number of items remaining in your store. The amount is in unit quantities. This box cannot be changed, it is automatically updated when Automatic ordering is in use or is updated during a stocktake.
Last Counted
The date that the item was last counted.
Qty on order
The number of cartons ordered during the last Automatic order and is awaiting for stock to arrive.
Min. Presentation
Minimum number of items you would like to have to maintain presentation.
Stock History
Clicking the stock history button displays a list of all the changes to stock levels and the reasons for these changes.
Stock Adjust
Use the stock adjust button to manually alter the amount of stock on hand. For more information on manual stock adjustment see Manual Stock Adjustment.
Add button
Use the Add button in the Inventory tab to add similar items into Automatic Ordering. The Mini Browser will open where you can search for more items to add.
Order cycle button
Program how often Automatic Ordering should work for this item. See Automatic Order Cycle.
Change button
Use the Change button to save the changes you make in the Inventory tab. The Change button will change colour from black to red to indicate you have made some changes and to grab your attention to click this button before you close the Item properties window.
