Price breaks allow you to set varying prices for items, based on the sale quantity. E.g an item may cost $10.00/kg, however you sell it for $8.00/kg if the customer buys over 10kgs. Items in Ezi-Scale can have up to three separate price breaks.
To set a price break...
From the programming menu...

Select the product you wish to set a price break for.

Press the Edit key. |

Open the POS tab.

Set the quantity required to trigger the price break (in grams for weighed items or quantity for fixed weight items). Enter the price (in cents) the product will sell for when this quantity (or greater) is sold.

Set the price to use when the quantity condition is met, in the corresponding Price field. |

Repeat Steps 4 & 5 to set multiple price breaks.
When finished press the Save key to save your changes. |
Price Break Example
In the above example the item sells for $10.00/kg (base price), when less than 2kgs are purchased.
When between 2-4 kgs are purchase the price is $9.00/kg.
When between 4-6 kgs are purchase the price is $8.00/kg.
Finally, when 6 or more kgs are purchase the price is $7.00/kg.
