Data entry can be used for a number of task some being running the system with out the need for a rf interface connected, it allows you to collect data tru the pde with out connecting to the back office, this may be usefull if you are setting up a new store and the data points are not yet installed or if you have a existing store and have a netwrok failure, It will allow you to do a off line order thur the pde and connect it directly with the back office to upload your data.
